Kathy Ferrell, RN is an independent legal nurse consultant from Thompson’s Station, TN. She graduated from Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta, Ga. where she obtained a nursing diploma. She also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Arts from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She has been a legal nurse consultant for seven years and is certified by the American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board.
Kathy has been a registered nurse for over 30 years and worked in private physician offices, hospitals, insurance companies and presently serves as a parish nurse for Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville. Her experiences gained her first hand knowledge of physician and nursing standards of care and hospital practices and procedures. She has used this knowledge in assisting plaintiff and defense attorneys in medical malpractice, personal injury, nursing home, product liability, and bad faith insurance cases. She also serves as testifying expert in insurance matters and locates clinically active physician and nurse experts when appropriate for attorney clients.
She enjoys public speaking on nursing and legal nurse consulting.
